“Yoyo dieting is repeatedly losing weight by dieting & regaining, aka: weight cycling. Dieter is initially successful, but not in maintaining long-term & begins to gain again. Cycle repeats. Reasons vary, but often include a diet that's too extreme. At first, dieter may experience elation at the thought of weight loss & pride in their rejection of food. Over time, however, limits by such extreme diets cause effects, depression or fatigue, that make it impossible to sustain. How did I start? |
I downloaded MyFitnessPal & tracked my food intake; Track. Everything.
I started using my FitBit for it's purpose; walking the 10k steps a day, no excuses. Not exhausted? Go further. I lost 75lbs, just doing this. |

Example of my day: Total Calories = ~ 1,550
Breakfast: Premier Protein Shake, delicious chocolate - cold (160 cals) Lunch: Anything really, I try to stay lowcal. (Oatmeal & Banana) (300 cals) Dinner: Protein & Vegetables with side salad (min. toppings! They add up!) (Think.. grilled chicken, asparagus, & a salad with minimal dressing) (~600) Snack 1: Animal Crackers (190 cals) (or, Skinny Pop x 2 = 200 cals) Snack 2: Dark Chocolate Covered Blueberries (130 cals) (or, anything lol) Snack 3: Skinny Cow Ice cream sandwich (150 cals) |

Your body is stronger than you think. Consistency is key! Only compare yourself to yourself! You might not be able to do everything everyone else can, but that's okay! You'll get there. Some days will be harder than others. It's okay! It's worth it. You're worth it. Remember why you started and the reason you're doing this. Keep going! You can do it! |

This is why I make so many progress pics; to visually show myself the comparison on how far I've come. They're not just for you; they're for me, too. Take pics! for you! Numbers are just numbers. Some days will be harder than others. It's okay! Remember why you started. You can do it. |
